Abdal Matin Hakimi is an Afghan human rights defender and senior Persian literature specialist affiliated with the Women and Children Legal Research Foundation (WCLRF). He has contributed to the organization’s work on women’s and children’s rights, legal research, advocacy, and awareness-raising. He was reportedly detained by Taliban intelligence forces on 21 June 2026 following a raid on the WCLRF office in Kabul.

He has reportedly been held by Taliban intelligence (GDI) for several weeks in incommunicado detention. His current treatment and detention conditions remain unknown.
