Yasamin Hashdari, an Iranian women's rights activist and poet, has been advocating for women's rights and combating child labor since 2000. Due to these activities, she has faced judicial pressures multiple times and was ultimately transferred to Lakan Prison in July 2024 to serve her sentence.

Ms. Hashdari was sentenced to six years, one month, and 17 days in prison by Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court of Rasht, presided over by the judge. This sentence was ultimately upheld in full by Branch 11 of the Gilan Provincial Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Mohammadsadegh Iran-Aghideh.

According to the latest news, Ms. Hashdari has been granted medical leave from Lakan Prison in Rasht to undergo treatment.
