Bahareh Hedayat was sentenced to 4 years and 8 months in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari. As part of the supplementary punishment, the court also sentenced her to a 2-year ban on membership in political and social groups and 3 months of service in a nursing home for the elderly. This sentence was ultimately upheld in the appeals court.
The latest news about Bahareh Hedayat, who is imprisoned in Evin Prison, is that in February 2024, she was transferred to a hospital outside the prison for surgery.
