Artsiom Zharnak is the chairman of the primary trade union organisation of the Free Trade Union of Metalworkers at Minsk Automobile plant. He worked as an engineer at the factory. In 2020, he was dismissed for his trade union activities.
On the 17th of November 2021, he was arrested and later sentenced to four years of imprisonment. He opposed the decision.
