Allegations / reports of ill-treatment
Baadal was detained in a cell and was prohibited from using the washroom. The police seized her phone and did not return it to her when she was released from illegal detention on 14 March 2026.
Recent case update / evolution
After the abduction of the activist, an Habeous Corpus petition has been filed before the High Court of Delhi. The Court has ordered a detailed enquiry into the torture and illegal detention. The court is awaiting reports from the Concerned Police.
