Fatemeh (Mojgan) Tedrisi, a human rights activist and teacher, was arrested during the teachers' protests in Tehran. In response to the poor prison conditions and the neglect of prisoners' welfare, she went on a hunger strike. Tedrisi had previously been arrested during the 2022 protests and has faced repeated repression and arrests due to her activism. She is now recognized as a defender of teachers' rights and political prisoners.

On December 24, 2025 , Fatemeh (Mojgan) Tedrisi, a political prisoner, returned to Kachouei Prison in Karaj at the end of her furlough. Ms. Tedrisi was granted medical furlough in late October for surgery on her left hand. According to her attending physician, the political prisoner required three months of treatment and ten physiotherapy sessions.
