Ly Chan Daravuth is a Cambodian environmental activist known for his work with the Mother Nature movement. Born in 1999, he has been actively involved in campaigns to protect Cambodia’s natural resources, particularly focusing on issues like waste run-off and deforestation. In 2021, he was arrested for documenting environmental issues, such as waste run-off from Phnom Penh into the Tonle Sap river, and spent five months in pre-trial detention on charges of plotting. Daravuth was sentenced to six year in prion for plotting in July 2024.
