HRD's bio and work: Majid Rezaei is known as a labor and civil rights activist who has been actively defending workers' rights and addressing social issues. His efforts in labor and social activism have made him a prominent figure in these fields.

Recent case update / evolution: Majid Rezaei was sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. This sentence was reduced to 9 months upon appeal. In addition, as supplementary punishment, he was ordered to provide 4 hours of daily public service for 3 months as a street cleaner under the supervision of the Tehran Municipality Security Office. He was also required to attend 8 hours of emotional and psychological control counseling sessions at the Mavaye Qom Psychology Institute.

A new case has been opened against Majid Rezaei, who is currently serving his sentence in Evin Prison, following a complaint by the General Directorate of Prisons of Tehran Province. The case, under Branch 1 of the Evin Prosecutor's Office, includes charges such as disturbing prison order and peace, threats to life, dignity, and property, as well as insulting officials and prison officers.
